Hiroaki has spearheaded research at Climate Integrate since its inception, authoring reports and policy briefings on topics including corporate climate action and government spending. His work has been cited in Japan’s parliament and by major media.
Previously at Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, Hiroaki contributed to key national strategies, including the Long-term Strategy under the Paris Agreement, as well as climate negotiation and diplomacy at international conferences such as COP, G7, and G20. At the UN Climate Change secretariat (UNFCCC), he supported capacity building for climate reporting by developing countries.
