Yasuyuki Sasaki

Communications Director

Following a performing career as a member of the band bonobos, he expanded into music production and songwriting while collaborating with cross-disciplinary creators to lead branding, strategic communications, and creative development for companies and products. He has also actively participated in community development initiatives focused on localized food and energy circulation—implementing regional solar and micro-hydro power projects that earned a Minister of the Environment Award.

At Climate Integrate, he oversees all communications, from strategic planning for messaging, branding, and media to creative direction for video, web, and digital content. He crafts narrative strategies to make climate and energy research accessible to the public, fostering new inquiries and dialogue. In supporting local decarbonization efforts in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, he views communities as active agents of change, aiming to feed the insights and lessons gained from local practice directly into national policy and institutional debate.

— “An inner conviction that 'we can' is what moves external reality.”

He seeks out possibilities within complex challenges and turns them into actionable choices, continuously exploring the strategies and expression needed to make that happen.

He studied architecture in the Department of Environmental Design at Kyoto University of Art and Design (now Kyoto University of the Arts).
